Pottery for Children

In our bright and welcoming studio, young artists learn foundational techniques such as hand-building, slab work, and pinch pots, gradually progressing to more advanced skills like coil construction and introductory wheel throwing (for older students). Each session is guided by experienced instructor who foster confidence, imagination, and a deep appreciation for the tactile world of 3D art.

Whether sculpting whimsical animals, building functional pottery, or exploring abstract forms, students express themselves in unique and tangible ways. Our curriculum balances structured lessons with creative freedom, ensuring every child finds their own voice in clay.

Perfect for beginners and returning artists alike, Pottery and Sculpture at Vivo Art Studio is more than an art class—it’s a space to grow, create, and connect through the timeless joy of making.

Our pottery art classes are designed for children ages 6 – 16 years old. Artists will explore many aspects of pottery and sculpture making.  The students will use a simple manual pottery wheel, hand-build pottery technique, and create sculptures using white, grey or terra-cotta (brown) clay material.

Our pottery groups have a maximum of 8 students par class. Any student can join a group at anytime. We teach pottery art starting with a very basic skill (how to center your clay). Pottery art helps little artists with a hand-eye coordination, focus and creativity.
