Drawing Workshops
Object Drawing Workshops at Vivo Art Studio
We teach academic drawing on a professional level. All students must register for a workshop in advance. No walk-ins allowed.
Our drawing workshops are offered to adults and children starting at 7 years old. Each workshop is designed to target a specific art area of study (portrait, full body, still life, single object, etc.).
Based on a specific art study our workshops include introduction to composition, proportions and measurements, perspective in art, some shading techniques, shadow and light theory.
Workshops are available for beginner, intermediate and advance students.
We teach in English, Spanish and Russian.
Drawing Workshops – Human Portrait
The studio offers portrait drawing and anatomy study workshops for adults and teens (15+ years old). An introduction to a portrait drawing is offered to children starting at 7 years old. We teach beginner and intermediate level students.
Our workshops are usually scheduled on Saturdays (see workshops calendar) 1 hour long for children and 2 hour long for adults & teens.
Anatomy and human drawing workshops are covering introduction to composition and portrait search / location on paper, measurements (no rulers allowed), proportions and perspective study. A light / shadow theory is a must.
Basic art material study is included (HB, 1B, 7H, etc. pencils).
Shading Techniques Workshops
Note: Shading technique workshop must be taken prior human portrait workshops for intermediate level students (adults & teens).
Shading techniques and study workshops are offered to beginner and intermediate students starting at 7 years old. These workshops are strictly focused on light, shadows and nature of the object.
The workshop includes different pencil study, explanation and introduction to a specific shading technique and certain shading angles. Each workshop is focused on a different object of interest (single object, a group of objects, fabrics, human portrait, full body).
Charcoal Drawing Workshops
Charcoal drawing workshops (still life & portrait) are offered to adults and children on Saturdays (please see our workshop and event calendar).
