These classes are designed to help participants explore the expressive qualities of soft pastels while developing essential techniques such as blending, layering, shading, and composition.
Soft Pastel Painting Classes for Children & Teens
Soft pastel painting classes for children and teenagers at Vivo Art Studio are designed to introduce students to expressive drawing and painting techniques using soft pastels as a primary medium. These classes focus on developing fundamental artistic skills, including color blending, shading, composition, and texture creation, while encouraging creativity and individual expression.
Students will be guided step by step through age-appropriate projects that build confidence and artistic understanding, from basic techniques to more advanced compositions. The program provides a supportive and inspiring environment where young artists can explore their imagination, refine their fine motor skills, and develop their personal artistic style.
These sessions are suitable for both beginners and students with prior experience.
The classes are held on Tuesdays from 5:00–6:00 PM and 6:00–7:00 PM, as well as on Thursdays from 4:00–5:00 PM and 5:00–6:00 PM.
Starting 2026 – 2027 school year, the studio will no longer accept any scholarship programs.
Payments for art lessons may be made by paper check, credit card or cash. Please note that a 4% processing fee applies to payments made by credit card.

These classes focus on developing fundamental and advanced soft pastel techniques, including blending, layering, shading, and composition. Participants are guided step-by-step while also being encouraged to explore their individual artistic style and expression.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, the classes are structured to help you build confidence, improve technical skills, and enjoy the creative process at your own pace. All necessary materials and tools are provided within the studio. Our goal is to create a space where each participant can relax, learn, and express themselves freely through the rich and expressive medium of soft pastels.
The classes are held on Tuesdays from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM.
